Featured Style: Feathered Mullet

Only in 2020 would mullets become cool again.

Short or long, subtle or blatant Mullets are now well and truly back in the mainstream. Once the bane of the barbering world, Mullets have come back into fashion with roaring popularity.

Truth be told, we’ve always had a soft spot for Mullets, they are a bit of a cultural icon here in Australia. Normally, they are reserved for the back-yard barber and not something you’d actually ask a professional to cut, but now, we’re seeing them come through the barbershop every day.

Executing a Mullet without creating an abomination isn’t an easy task. It requires expert skill to execute the cut so that it is wearable. And when done well, dang they are a cool cut.

Take for example Feathered Mullet cut by Todd Page of Seven&One Studio. Check out Todd's Instagram Account or the Seven&One Studio Account.

‘Feathered’ refers to the technique Todd has used to create a relaxed, grown out finish. Feathering was huge in the early 2000’s and is slowly becoming more popular in the Barbering industry.

To style this Mullet, Todd has opted for Uppercut Deluxe Clay. See more about  Uppercut Deluxe Clay.
