Earlier this month we travelled to London for the inaugural Shin Dig.
Setting up at the iconic Bike Shed in Shoreditch we took over the space to make the event a one-of-a-kind show. It was an action-packed day of barbering demonstrations, live screen printing, street food and of course a pop-up Uppercut Deluxe shop.
The Uppercut Deluxe team wanted to create something new to celebrate the support of all of the great stockists across the UK.
Uppercut Deluxe founders Steve & Kiera Purcell flew all the way from Australia to the UK to attend the event, giving the audience deep insight to the brand. Steve & Kiera told the audience about the birth of the brand, spoke of the struggles and challenges, and celebrated some of the achievements.
The Shin Dig was closed out for the day with Steve Purcell showing the crowd how he cuts his signature Flattop haircut – the first time Steve has ever done a haircut on stage in the UK!
Barbers travelled from all across Europe (France, Germany, Sweden, Lithuania just to name a few countries!) for the Shin Dig. We had an amazing mix of barbers of all skill levels in one place to meet, forge new relationships and share their experiences with one another. Thanks to everyone that made the trip to London and made the event a great day, we can’t wait for round 2 next year!
Thanks to all the brands/partners who were a part of this huge event and made it a great success:
